Recently, we began working on a Second Story Addition on a single-story home in Rockville, MD (Montgomery County). The second story will consist of two Guest Bedrooms, one Master Bedroom equipped with a Master Bathroom, and one additional Full Bathroom. Seeing as though we would have to remove the existing roof before any of the construction could begin, we knew that time was of the essence. The unpredictable weather of MD gave us a small window in which to get this job started while avoiding the potential setbacks caused by natural elements. The forecast looked good and we saw our opportunity. We worked smart and we worked in an organized manner, managing to completely remove the existing roof by mid-day. With only a few hours of daylight left, the shell framing of the addition came together just as the sun was starting to set. It was exciting to step back and see the results of our hard days work… We knew this would be a drastic change to this house, so we marked designated areas around the house to take progression pictures as the day went on. Here are some pictures taken from the front of the house that show the entire second story coming together! More pictures will be posted as they become available. Enjoy!
